The first edition of #1 was published in 1852 by William S. Martien
with the subtitle (Robert and Harold) as the actual title. In addition
the that text has some additions and changes compared to these
editions. Volume #2 was published earlier by Wm. Martien. Volume #3 was
first published by James S. Claxton.
Editions by CRH and EC noted in 1869 (series introduction year), 1870,
1874, 1876, 1878 and 1881.
CRH editions have multiple illustrations. E. C. Claxton & Co.
editions only have the frontispiece illustration.
