Hurst & Co. published this series from about 1891 to 1898. These books are all reprints. In 1890 Hurst bought the plates for these books from Robert Carter and Brothers.
Note the address of Hurst on the title page. Hurst moved from 122 Nassau Street to Grand Street in 1891. Thus, this series must have been published beginning in 1890-1891.
