Mayne Reid Set

In 1889 Worthington published 18 Mayne Reid titles. On April 25, 1889 the Thomas R. Knox and Co. publishing house sold its copyrights and plates for eighteen Mayne Reid titles to the Worthington Company. The cost was $155 per book. The format for this set which sold for $22.50 was identical to the Knox books.

The Maybe Reid titles were also published in Worthington's Franklin Edition. In 1890 "Afloat in the Forest" was part of Worthington’s Banner Library. It was a 12 mo. paperback book.
