The four Magnet Stories series contained titles that were published earlier by Pott & Amery in its Magnet Stories for Summer Days and Winter Nights series. The latter series included 56 titles which were first published by a London firm, Groombridge & Sons.
The titles above are part of the Pott, Young & Co. series which was published in about 1875.
Only the Pott & Amery books have been seen. Whether the Pott, Young volumes have the same format is unknown. In the Pott & Amery books there are ads for Groombridge & Sons.
Each book has 15 wood engravings.
