Introduced as a series by D. Lothrop & Co. in late 1882. These volumes were only sold as a set. Initially there were eight volumes in the series (I only know seven of them).
By 1887 when the D. Lothrop Company was the publisher there were only five titles in the series: 1, 3, 4, 6, and 7.
Numerous illustrations.
