The series was first published by John E. Potter in 1865. By 1866 the titles noted John E. Potter & Co. as the publisher. In about 1867 a one volume, clothbound folio book, “National Fairy Tales" contained all these titles. These books were published into the late 1870's.
Illustrated
The 1867 volumes had either plain pictures or illuminated illustrations.
