In April, 1879 the "Boys of Brimstone Court" and the "Forbes Doolan Affair" were advertised as being in this series. Both were paperbound with illuminated covers and 4 to. in size. In 1880 "One Cent" and "Bark Cabin on the Kearsage" were added to the series and all four volumes were clothbound as well as in wraps.
The titles in this series changed in about 1882. Volumes #1, 4, 5 and 6 made up the new four book series. In 1882 these books were sold as four book set both in paper covers as well as cloth. In 1883 there were only clothbound versions. Square/16 mo.

In 1888 these books were published in cloth and boards and were still sold only in sets. At this time they were published by D. Lothrop Company.
