This series was introduced by Sheldon in early 1860 and included
only the first 10 titles. Later in 1860 volumes 11 and 12 were added.
The next six titles were added to make this an 18 volume series.
Of note is an 1860 publication by Sheldon & Co. "A Treasury of
Pleasure Books for Young People". This volume includes the first ten
titles in the Pleasure Book Series
The precise dates of publication are difficult to ascertain. But these
books do note the Sheldon address which narrows the date down
significantly.
