In 1881 D. Lothrop & Co. published the "Picture Land Stories". It is a composite of the titles of the "Picture Land Series for Boys" and "Picture Land Series for Girls". The books have a new format.

In 1887 these titles were published in a new format and called the "Snowbird Series"

Cloth. Multi colored pictorial illustration on an appliqué which encompasses the entire cover. Two different pictures have been noted (see below). Each book has the same pictorial illustrated title page but a different second title page which indicates the volume's title. 7.75" x 6".
