D. Lothrop & Co. released this series in 1877. The titles all have 1877 copyrights.
In 1881 D. Lothrop & Co. published the “Picture Land Stories”. It is a composite of the titles of the "Picture Land Series for Boys" and "Picture Land Series for Girls". The books have a new format.
In 1887 these titles were published by D. Lothrop Company in a new format and called the “Snowbird Series"
Cloth. Multi colored pictorial illustration on an appliqué which encompasses the entire cover. Two different cover pictures have been seen. Each book has the same pictorial illustrated title page which states the series name but a different text title page which indicates the individual book. 7.75" x 6".
