This set was introduced by Leavitt & Allen in the 1850's.
This set should be distinguished from the "Santa Claus Gift Story
Books" which was also published by Leavitt & Allen.
Although the titles are the same in both series, the format of the books is different. I suspect that the publisher changed the name of the series when the format was changed-year unknown.
