Books (#1-3) were originally part of the Sunny Side Series which was
published Phillips, Sampson & Co. in the 1850's.
These four books were introduced as a Sheldon & Co. series in 1860.
By 1864 title #4 was no longer part of this series.
The three volume series was advertised in the 1880's.
Cloth. Blindstamped. Gilt lettering on the spine. 18 mo.
(Later editions from the 1870's have not been seen. As per other
series, the later books probably have gilt lettering on the front
and spine with decorative patterns.)
