This series was published by Phillips, Sampson & Co. The first
two titles were released in December, 1851.
#1 has been seen as Pedlar and Pedler in advertisements.
It appears that titles #4 and #4a are the same book. The titles appear
variably in advertisements between 1853 and 1859. I have not seen a
book however with the title "Loss and Gain". Later when Claxton, Remsen
and Haffelfinger reprinted the series, the title for this volume was
"Our Sue".
Volumes that were co-published with J. C. Derby were printed between
1853 and 1857.
Cloth. Red. Gilt cover lettering and an illustration of three
children. Spine has gilt lettering and an illustration of a boy
holding a flag. 6" x 4.75".
