Harris published seven Uncle Remus books.
The first edition of Uncle Remus and His Friends was published in 1892 by Houghton, Mifflin and Company. It was the fourth collection of Uncle Remus Tales and had 12 plates by A. B. Frost.
The first edition of Nights with Uncle Remus was published by James Osgood in 1883. Houghton, Mifflin and Company published its edition of Nights with Uncle Remus in 1889.
