Belford Clarke & Co. published this set in 1884 and 1885.
These book are reprints of the previously published "Rip Van Winkle's Travels in Foreign Lands" and "Rip Van Winkle's Travels in Asia and Africa" which were produced by Thomas Y. Crowell & Co. in 1881 and 1882 respectively.

Both titles were reprinted a number of times by other firms. Later they were combined with two "All Aboard" books to form a four book series. See: All Aboard Series for details about this series.
