S. C. Perkins, Boston
Samuel C. Perkins was a partner at Phillips, Sampson & Co. As a surviving partner of the insolvent firm in 1859. Perkins was responsible for about $70,000 in debts. By late 1859 Perkins was publishing on his namesake imprint of S. C. Perkins.
In 1860 the Perkins firm published three series for juveniles.
