Introduced as a series by Henry A. Young & Co. in 1871. This series was also called Great Promises of the Bible. It is not known whether Young & Bartlett published this series. Post 1875 H. A. Young & Co. publications have the 26 School St. address on the title page.
In 1876 a new "Little Pilgrim Series" was published in wraps but all three parts were for "the smallest children". These booklets have not been seen.
