This series was introduced by John P. Jewett & Co. in 1846 while it was still in Salem. The books were co-published with George L. Weed. The first editions all were copyrighted in 1846 and note 1846 on the title page. In 1853 this series was published by William Heath. Heath & Graves published this set in 1853.
