This series was initially published by Cassell, Petter & Galpin with six books. The earliest series included six books but book #6 was not part of the set. Cassell and Company, Limited also published this series beginning in 1883. But the latter series included 12 titles. They are shown above as #7-12 . Beginning in 1890 Cassell Publishing Company published Volumes #1-6.
