Introduced as a series with volumes #1-20 by A. L. Burt in 1899. Beginning in 1902 the title page imprint notes A. L. Burt Company not A. L. Burt. This set was published as late as 1909. Beginning in 1911 Burt published another set of books with the same series name.
Books published in 1899 have the 97 Reade Street address in any ads.
Beginning in 1900 the address changed to 52-58 Reade Street and
remained there throughout the life of this series. Burt moved in 1912
to 114-120 East 23rd Street.
Format:
Cloth. Each title has a book specific color cover illustration.
The spine has a flower picture which is unique to all the volumes in
this series. 8 vo.
