The first editions of these titles were published by Roberts Brothers. The set was reprinted by Little, Brown & Co. in 1898. The 1898 and 1899 books have LBCo. at the bottom of the spine. Those books still have Roberts Brothers as the imprint on the title page. The date on the title page does not necessarily reflect the date of publication since in some instances an early Roberts' title page was used. In 1900 and later the base of the spine notes Little Brown & Co. spelled out.
The author for books #1 and #2 was noted as P. Thorne on the early Roberts editions.
