These books were published by G. P. Putnam's Sons in 1896. They are reprints. Beginning in 1900 the books were part of the Knickerbocker Series. That multivolume set used the same plates from the previously published Mayne Read books. Thus, the title page imprint reflects the earlier publication.

A later format is part of the “Chelsea Series”. The later series is a multivolume set of adventure type books for boys. Probably published in the early 1900’s.
