This library was introduced by Dodd, Mead & Co. in 1877.
These five titles were later part of the fifteen book "Children's
Library" in 1880.

In 1881 Dodd, Mead & Co. introduced this series.
In 1882 the five titles from the Picture Page Library were added to
the five Golden Rod Series volumes to form the ten book Daffodil
Series. By the fall of 1883 the Daffodil Series was renamed
the Hazel Series.

In 1884 books # 6,7, 8, 9, and 10 were part of the Violet Series.
These five volumes previously comprised the Golden Rod Series.
There is no indication within the books of which series they are part
of. The series all came within boxes originally and the box stated
which set the books are in. I have not seen any of the boxed sets at
this time.
The cover formats of the books are shown below without noting the
particular series that each format represents.
