The Rose Library was introduced as a series by Dodd, Mead & Co.
in the fall of 1877.
The Primrose Library was introduced as a series by Dodd, Mead &
Co. in the fall of 1880.
The Rose Library was published between 1877-1879. In 1880-1881 the
same titles made up the Primrose Library. (Note that there was another
earlier Primrose Library with different titles.)
These volumes each contained two stories. The stories were originally
in the "Amy Books" in 1875 and the "Dorothy Books" in 1877.
Several full page black and white illustrations.
As of this time two different cover formats have been seen for these
series.
