This series was introduced by J. B. Lippincott & Co. in about
1883. The books have stories which originally appeared in "The Boys
and Girls' Treasury" and "The Playmate". These volumes originally
comprised the three volume "Treasury Series" and the three volume
"Playmate Series".
Boards with illuminated covers. Each book has a different picture
within a black box on the cover. Otherwise the cover is the same
except for the title. 8” x 5.75”
