DeWolfe, Fiske & Co. introduced this series in 1898. Another series of the same name but with different titles was published by De Wolfe, Fiske and Co. in 1904.

There are a number of Dewolfe, Fiske & Co. series that have books with the same or similar names. The books of this series note the series name on the bottom of the picture on the front cover.
