This series was introduced by J. B. Lippincott & Co. in 1881. The books have stories which originally appeared in “The Boys and Girls’ Treasury”. By 1883 this series was combined with the three books of the "Playmate Series" to form the "Playmate and Treasury Series".

Boards with illuminated covers. Each book has a different picture within a black box on the cover. Otherwise the cover is the same except for the title. 8” x 5.75"
