For more information about this series see: Witch
Winnie Series
Format 1 Volumes #1-9 Dodd, Mead & Co.
Cloth. Green or grey. Gilt lettering on the cover and the spine. 12
mo.
This format was published at least until 1898 since a copy of "Spain"
has been seen with this cover.
Format 2 Volumes #1-9 Dodd, Mead & Co.
Cloth. Dark green. Cover notes the title within a wreath. 12 mo.
This later format (Oval) has been seen with an 1896 Holland book and
an 1897 Venice book. This would seem to indicate that either both
formats were being published at the same time or that earlier title
pages were still being used for the later format.
Volume #1 "Witch Winnie" was also published in the Phenix Series in
1902. This is a multivolume, multi authored series published by Dodd,
Mead & Co.
Cloth, Green with floral cover picture. 16 mo.
Sometime in the early 1900's a third format was introduced for the
nine titles.
