A. L. Burt began the publication of this series in 1898 with the
first six books.
Titles were added as time went on. Editions published prior to 1902
had A. L. Burt as the imprint. From 1902 and later the imprint changed
to A. L. Burt Company. Ads in the back of the book which have the 97
Reade Street address were printed in 1900 or earlier. The 52-58 Duane
Street address is in books from 1900 and later.
This series was no longer published after 1908. Many of the titles became part of other series at that time. Those series are beyond the scope of this bibliography.
